Anti-

Anti- Record Company. I'm certain this is another one of my artifacts of the SXSW Conferences. Doleing out samples of Celis had its privileges and full access to SXSW was just one of them. I always have been fond of their cycloptic bat logo... much moreso than the satanic joker.

BPR Grouting & Engineering, Inc.

Its a whole foot of matches, compliments of BPR Grouting & Engineering, Inc. This is definitely the longest book of matches I have ever seen. Its not something you keep in your pocket.

Keystone

Now here's one place I'd rather be right now, Keystone Colorado Ski Resort. I learned to ski at Keystone back in 1984 during a winter Young Life excursion. It certainly is a beautiful place. I'd like to get back there and try snowboarding the same runs I learned to ski.

Bamboo Bernie's

Wow! Do I have recollections of Bamboo Bernie's. Summer evenings, Chicago, 1996 after softball at Lincoln Park. We'd stroll over to Bernie's and have a blast, and way too many shots and end up dancing on the bar. Back then, I could really whip my hair. What can I say. It got me a few dates, and more than a few odd Monday morning looks in the elevator from my boss(es).

Pearl

Pearl beer is truly a Texas classic. I'm guessing that the Hill Country is the 'Country' of 1100 springs. But, I dare not guess at what the XXX means.

The Old Monk

The Old Monk! Went there once during a trip up for work in those blurry days of the marginal recollections of things I rather forget... and just can't seem to. Never did meet the old monk.

Pacific Tap n' Grill

The Pacific Tap & Grill was a brewery in San Rafael with an annual output of 1300 gallons and apparently, OK food. Only now it no longer exists.

Broad Ripple Brewpub

Okay, I have never been to Indianapolis or Broad Ripple Brewpub. Now, I'm starting to recall picking up many of these books from the various Brew Festivals I attended in Austin over the tears. Afterall I did place 2nd in the Mead category in the 1994(?) Brew Festival. Since mead is 12 to 14% alcohol, is it any wonder why I can't recall those years. There are other reasons I don't wish to...

Fish & Game Brewing Company

Fish & Game Brewing Company & Rotisserie, Lahaina out along the Hoppy-loppy hiway. It was a fine place to have dinner on our honeymoon. Can't wait to go back. Its been way to long and we need new recollections.

Phantom Canyon

Phantom Canyon Brewery, I do remember. I must have really been into the Colorado Brewpub scene. Their's spiked about the same time that Texas' did. But, with all the resorts there, each town had 2-3, it seemed... like Utah. From '92 to '95, we'd take a week off and drive the Trooper to Colorado every January in search of snow. It was always amazing, and sometimes a little scary.

Govnr's Park

Denver's Govnr's Park Tavern and its famous Big Nose Ale. Honestly you'd think I'd have some recollecion of a nose like that. My guess is that's where we relaxed after driving from Wyoming to Denver via Berthoud Pass in a snowstorm. Otherwise, I have never spent much time in Denver... quite deliberately. Although I love Colorado, I dont much care for its capitol. I prefer Ouray, myself.

Judge Baldwin's

Hit Judge Baldwin's once passing through Colorado Springs, but don't really remember much else about it.

Bitter End

One of the handful of original Austin brewpubs that sprouted in the early 90's and started a trend. It certainly wasn't the best beer, but very nice digs. I guess it too is gone now, too.

Tuborg

Now here's a good beer. My recollection of Tuborg is that it was quite satisfying convenient and cold, right out of the vending machine at our hotel in Copenhagen.
