This one's not so old, but just as distant a memory. For a time, we had a taste of Hoegaarden, in our own garden. Golden, White, Pale Boch, Grand Cru, Raspberry... which was your favorite? Personally, I liked a Raspberry Cru myself. You can still get the White in some places, compliments of the Michigan Brewing Company.
Sure! Here's a comment. Celis was an emblem... an icon of Austin. Texans were proud of the product and the people who made it. They werenhonored by the Celis family and were grateful for the opportunity to host production of the greatest beers in America. It was a sad day when the Corporations shut it down (MILLER). The Brewery was Pierre Celis' American dream and it is worthy of respect and profound admiration.
